Patient Assignment Security

To prevent practitioners from having access to all the patients in your practice database, you can set practitioners to have 'Patient Assignment Security'. This limits practitioners so they only have access to the patients that have been assigned to them. Also, they will only have access to the patient notes that they have taken themselves rather than the full patient notes history. The patient's other history, such as accounts and invoices etc, will also be restricted to just the ones created by the practitioner.

Patient Assignment Security gives you an extra level of privacy for the patients in your database by 'firewalling' them away from other practitioners. You can read more about our patient management features here.

Flexible User Security

You have very fine-grained control over the security settings of the users in the psychiatrist software. You can set up your practitioners using our suggested permission sets and then tweak as needed. This is especially useful for psychiatry practices where patient security and privacy are of the utmost importance.

For example, reception staff can have access to the patient database but you can prevent access to patient notes etc. You can also give some trusted practitioners access to some areas of the admin system while restricting access to others.

Lock Patient Notes

Patient notes in Practice Master can be locked by the practitioner who has taken the notes. This essentially makes the notes totally private so only they (and an administrator with the 'Can View Locked Notes' permission) can view them. This is particularly important when dealing with patient consultations that are of a highly sensitive or personal nature.

You can also set a preference in your user preferences area to 'Auto-Lock' your patient notes when you save them as an extra security/privacy precaution.

Customisable Patient Forms

With customisable patient forms the Practice Master Pro software system can fit perfectly in to your particular psychiatry method. Create forms for Issues Highlighted, Discussion Points, Outcome Measures etc. and easily move between previous visit notes to track your patient's progress. The built-in psychiatry template is based around a SOAP notes format but you can customise it as needed or even create other forms with variations. For example, you can create forms for particular condistions like anxiety and depression, or, create forms for different types of patients like children etc

You can structure your notes using our comprehensive set of question types to help make the computer less of a barrier while taking notes. For example, you can take advantage of (among others):
Tickbox/Multiple Choice Questions - so you can 'tick' your way through question/answer scenarios Pre-Defined Answers - textboxes allow you to set up buttons underneath that enter custom blocks of text for you to edit to save time on typing Diagrams - you can use a diagram background and draw of type over the top. The background can be anything you like, such as a blank mind map, which can help you take notes more effectively.

Patient Handouts

You can create your own highly-custom patient handouts on the fly so your patient's can continue to self-help post treatment. You can print the handout and give it to your patient during their visit, or email directly to their inbox. You could create items for Anxiety Management, Grieving Process, Anger Management etc. and simply add the required items with a double click as you build their custom handout.

Info Sheets

You can add your own 'info sheets' in to the system and add them to your patient notes at any time. Info-sheets can be any file type, images, documents, pdfs etc and contain mostly static content. These can easily be printed and emailed to your patients with a single click using the email integration in Practice Master.
